If you are unable to see Merchant names, view links or click on merchants
on our pages, you probably have either Norton or some other type of software
with ad blocking software installed. The latest Norton may have this feature
automatically turned on, when you installed it. This will keep you from saving
money through our links! Please turn off your ad blocking software to view
this page in its entirety, thanks.
If you believe it to be Norton thats causing the problem, Click on
your Norton software, and click options, and 1. allow ad content, and 2.
Enable Cookies.
If you have any type of tool bar you are running, this may also keep our
links from being viewed by you. Disable them, to see if this helps.
Still having problems clicking on links?
If you click on one of the links on Funtasia, and get an error message, ie:
"cannot find server", or "This page cannot be displayed, try disabling any
ad blocker, popup blocker or Internet Security software, then clear your
browsers cache, and try the links again.
Some Known problems:
Hosts File: If you or another program (ie Kazaa Lite) have added web
sites to block by changing a special file called hosts, you may have blocked
access to some servers that serve our links!
Open 'My Computer' or 'Windows Explorer' then click to the following directory
and filename:
Windows 95/98/ME: c:\windows\hosts
Windows XP Home/Pro: c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
Windows NT or 2000: c:\winnt\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
Also, check: c:\windows\help or c:\winnt\help
(Some spyware changes the default location.)
Highlight the file, hit F2 to change its name from Hosts to Hosts.bak, then
try the links again.
Alternately your can open the Hosts file with a text editor. You can open
the HOSTS file by right-clicking on hosts and selecting "open with". Then
select Notepad.
Make sure the following lines are not present in the file by removing the
entire line if present
service.bfast.com
click.linksynergy.com
clickserve.cc-dt.com
commission-junction.com
cj.com
www.qksrv.net
Note: Popup ads do not originate from these servers. They are links to major
online stores, and allow money saving links and coupons to load on your computer
from our site.
Ad Aware Pro or Plus 6 (Paid versions) - Program causes some links
to not work. Close Ad Watch or remove these lines from c:\program
files\lavasoft\ad-aware 6\sites.txt -
qksrv.net, linksynergy.com, bfast.com, cc-dt.com
Ad Subtract - Causes some Links to disappear from viewing. Disable
it temporarily to see all our links or configure it by selecting the Filter
Tab, click Add, enter www.couponspick.com, and do not check anything to block.
Block the Pop - Prevents all web sites from opening in a new
window.. Add couponspick.com and couponspick.com to the "Domain - Allow This Domain"
list
Kazaa Lite - If you installed the optional Supertrick, make sure you
edit your hosts file to allow access to servers we use. (See notation Above)
SpyStop 2 - Unblock these URLs:
click.linksynergy.com, service.bfast.com, clickserve.cc-dt.com, cj.com,
www.qksrv.net
AOL user cant access links:
2/18: New: Aol is now auto blocking pop ups. Funtasia does not have "Pop
Up" ads. However, we do set pages to open in a new window, so that you can
browse a merchant site, then x out, and still be on funtasia.
When you click on a url, you may notice that your pop-up controls now default
to on.
This is indicated by the red "Blocking pop-ups" icon on the lower-right corner
of the browser window.
In order to browse our site, you need to go to aol keyword "pop ups" . Add
http://www.couponspick.com to the "allow pop ups from these sites" area, and
click save.
If your pop-up controls are off, or if you've chosen to allow pop-ups from
a particular Web site, the indicator will be green and say "Allowing this
site."
Other AOL users may have a problem with our links leading to an error page.
If the information above doesnt fix the problem, Call AOL support, to reconfigure
your computer files to allow links to be seen *I was having my own problems
with my links not opening with Windows xp, and my cable connection. Aol
walked me thru a few setting changes, and problem was solved. As a last resort,
use Internet Explorer when accessing our pages.
If you are still having problems, email me
and let me know.
